150.2000 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING STIPULATION TO RESOLVE GRIEVANCE OF MICHAEL TROMBLEY RESOLUTION NO.: 150. 2000 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. James Martin WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHEREAS, Michael Trombley, an employee of the Town of Queensbury Water Department, is a member of the Queensbury Unit of the Civil Service Employees Association, Inc., (CSEA), and WHEREAS, Mr. Trombley filed a grievance alleging that he was entitled to overtime pay for travel to and from a training program which he had voluntarily attended, and WHEREAS, the grievance proceeding went to the third stage without resolution, and WHEREAS, the Town, CSEA and Mr. Trombley wish to resolve the grievance without submitting it to arbitration, and WHEREAS, a second employee, John Langdon, also traveled to and from the same training program and the Town Board and CSEA wish to treat Mr. Langdon the same as Mr. Trombley, and WHEREAS, a proposed Stipulation to Resolve Grievance (with attached Memorandum from Bill Lochner, CSEA LRS dated March 4, 2000) has been presented at this meeting and is in form approved by Town Counsel, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby approves of the settlement of the grievance of Michael Trombley, including the approval of the settlement to John Langdon, in accordance with the Stipulation to Resolve Grievance as modified by the March 4, 2000 Memorandum from Bill Lochner, CSEA LRS, presented at this meeting, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute the Stipulation with Memorandum as presented at this meeting, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that upon execution of the Stipulation with Memorandum, the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Comptroller to pay Michael Trombley and John Langdon in accordance with the terms of the Stipulation with Memorandum, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes the Town Supervisor and/or Town Counsel to take such other and further action as may be necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution. th Duly adopted this 20 day of March, 2000 by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Brewer, Mr. Martin, Mr. Turner, Mr. Stec, Mr. Brower NOES : None ABSENT : None
