RESOLUTION REQUESTING LOWER SPEED LIMIT

WHEREAS, The Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous of
petitioning for a review of the speed limit on Queensbury Avenue,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT
RESOLVED, the Town Supervisor and the Town Clerk are hereby
authorized to complete and submit all necessary forms to request
that Warren County in turn request that New York State DOT review
the speed limit on Queensbury Avenue from the intersection of
Queensbury Avenue and North Dix Avenue to a point approximately one
and a half miles from that intersection, and
BE IT FURTHER
RESOLVED, that upon review of the speed limit the Town Board based
upon the petitions that it has received a copy of which are to be
sent to Warren County and DOT hereby request that DOT seriously
consider granting a reduction in the speed limit from 55 m.p.h. to
a minimum of 40 m.p.h.
