Roof Framing Modifications
Gentlemen,
This letter serves to confirm my acceptance of the following roof framing modifications
for the above referenced project as described following. The pre-engineered roof trusses
indicated on the original plan are to be replaced with a ridge beam, rafter framing, and opening
headers as described below;
1) The ridge beam is to be (2) 1 % x 14 L.V_L and supported on each end with (2) 2 x 6
post.
2) The openings below the post are to have a 3 ply 1 % x 7 V4L-V.L. header installed to
support the post load. Ends of header are to be supported with (2) 2 X 6 studs.
3) The roof rafters are 2 x 6's spaced at 16" on center and span 7'.
Please consider this letter as an amendment to the drawings.

Roof Framing Modifications
Gentlemen,
This letter serves to confirm my acceptance of the following roof framing modifications
for the above referenced project as described following. The pre-engineered roof trusses
indicated on the original plan are to be replaced with a ridge beam, rafter framing, and opening
headers as described below;
1) The ridge beam is to be (2) 1 % x 14 L.V.L and supported on each end with (2) 2 x 6
post.
2) The openings below the post are to have a 3 ply 1 % x 7 '/o L.V.L. header installed to
support the post load. Ends of header are to be supported with (2) 2 X 6 studs.
3) The roof rafters are 2 x 6's spaced at 16" on center and span 7'.
Please consider this letter as an amendment to the drawings.

Contract Proposal Date: November 13, 2007
Project Description: Build a 14' x 16' sunroom to the following specs:
Project Specs:
1) . 2x8 floor joist 16" o.c. supported by 2x10 carrier beams with 4x4 vertical
supports 48"deep with concrete piers.
2) 2x6 wall construction 16"o.c. with proper headers for windows and doors.
Install Tyvex and new d4 siding to existing homes color and style.
Apply 7/16 o.s.b. sheathing on 2x6 walls.
3) 2x4 common trusses 24" o.c. with Y2 " sheathing, 15 lb felt, iced and water
shield and asphalt shingles to existing color (vaulted roof).
4) Extend the existing shed breakfast roof to be tied into the new sunroom
with proper structural supports.
5) Build (1) 4'x2' closet off the kitchen area, with shelves and (1) door,
sheetrock, tape and paint this area to drawing specks.
6) Electric to consist of (1) fan, (4) recessed lights, (2) exterior recessed
exterior lights, (1) cable and outlets, switches. Homeowner to
purchase lights and recessed lights and fan. (Inspection by M.D.I.A.)
7) Install a total of (9) double hung windows and (2) transom windows in
gable end. Also install (2) 104S velvx skylights, add (1) 5'x60" picture
window to drawing specs (Certainteed or jeld-wyn window)
8) Insulate floor R-25, walls R-19, and roof R-38 to code requirements.
9) Sheetrock entire sunroom, closet and existing window openings, tape and
stucco to existing decor, excluding sunroom and paint to homeowners
choice of colors. (Homeowner to purchase paint.)
10) Enclose the bottom of the sunroom with vinyl lattice (white) and picture
frame with 1x4 wood trim.
11) Install (1) wall unit to supply heat to the 16'x14' room.
12) The sunroom and the existing floors will be at the same level with the

proper transition strips.
13) Install (1) new D.H. Windows with circular top next to the fireplace
24"x62" in size. This will include new header, trim and redoing the
exterior siding.
14) Install (1) 5/Ox6/8 French door (style and wood type to be determined
by the homeowner) in the existing opening which is now between the
sunroom and the existing house.
15) Install new ceramic tile (diagonal) in sunroom. The homeowner will
select the the and purchase. C.D.0 will install only with the
homeowners materials.
Notice Required by Federal Law
The customer has the unconditional right to cancel the contract until midnight of
the third business day after the contract was signed. Cancellation must be done
in writing. The contractor is legally required to deposit all progress payments
received prior to completion in an escrow account or post a bond to protect
these payments. If the general contractor who does the work is not paid, he
may have a claim against the customer's property under the Lien Law.

Contractor's and Decks, Inc.
Hold Harmless
Contractor shall agree that under no circumstance is the customer liable for any
loss what so ever, including damage to equipment of pecuniary losses, suffered
by the contractor through any cause what so ever, and that the contractor shall
save and hold them harmless from liability of any nature or kind including costs
and expenses, of or on account any actions of the contractor, his agents, and
employees.
Under no circumstances will the homeowner without prejudice disagree to pay
C.D.C. for any and all work which is not listed in the signed contract but that is
verbally agreed to by both parties or so noted in a change order agreement.
If C.D.C. is not compensated for this work, they will have a valid claim under
NYS Lien Law.
