MINUTES of the public hearing of the Queensbury Zoning Board
of Appeals held January 21, 1976, at 7:30 P.M.
There were present:
Charles Sicard (Acting Chairman)
Sjoerdje Richardson
George Kurosaka
Richard Sanderspree
being the members of the Board. The meeting was called to order
at 7:30 P.M. by Charles Sicard, acting chairman, in the absence
of Jack Fitzgerald. On a motion by George Kurosaka, seconded by
Charles Sicard, the minutes of the December meeting were approved
as read.
OLD BUSINESS
None
NEW BUSINESS - Special Permit #59, Charles David Jenkins,
R-2 Zone, Jenkins Road, French Mountain - to add to existing build-
ing 10 feet, construction of concrete floor and wood framing.
Mr. Jenkins was present and explained that he would like the
new addition to raise dogs. He has seven dogs at the present
time. He raises and sells them.
A telephone call was received from Fred Austin with no object-
ion.
There were no appearances for or against.
The Town Planning
Board approved.
Richard Sanderspree made a motion that Special Permit #59 be
approved as it is in conformity with the Town Board enumerated as
follows:
1) The use in one specifically enumerated in the district.
2) Such use will not be prejudicial to the character of the
area, since it is a farm use.
3) The Board determines that there is appropriate prov1s10n
for access facilities adequate for the estimated traffic
from public streets and/or highways and that there are ped-

estrian walkways so as to insure public safety and to
avoid traffic congestion. Not applicable since it is
a back road with very little traffic.
4) That there are full adequate parking areas and off-street
loading spaces, in conformity with the proposed parking
requirements of the zoning ordinance of the Town of Queens-
bury and all other related ordinances. Adequate for use
contemplated.
5) That such use is of the same general character as, or
will not be injurious to, the surrounding neighborhood
or district. It is already a farm use.
This motion was seconded by George Kurosaka.
The meeting was adjourned
