312.93 RESOLUTION REGARDING FARR LANE EXTENSION RESOLUTION NO. 312, 93 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHO MOVED IT'S ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Betty Monahan WHEREAS, the original Farr Lane has a center line that is off set from the center of the Town's right-of-way, and WHEREAS, the new extension of Farr Lane does not meet the center line of the old Farr Lane properly because of this off setting of the original Farr Lane, and WHEREAS, it has been brought to the Town Board's attention that Mr. Leon Steves has indicated that a realignment could be had such that the new Farr Lane center line will meet the old Farr Lane center line with out a violation of the road construction standards of New York State, and WHEREAS, the Town Board notes there would be a number of benefits if the roads were aligned such that the centers of both the old and new road would meet, NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby requests that the Town Highway Superintendent examine the layout of the roads and if possible allow the two center lines to match of the old and new roads and give his approval to allow the center lines of the old and new road to match, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Board would hereby also request that the paved swales on the side of the road not start until the State property as opposed to on the old Town right-of-way, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that in the event that further surveying work is needed to accomplish the objectives requested by the Town Board, the Town Board hereby authorizes an expenditure of funds not to exceed the amount of $1,000.00 for such work and it shall be paid for from the appropriate Town budgeted account for surveying work.
