Old Business: None New Business: Variance #630 - David S. Shave Sullivan Road R-4 Zone Use variance to place a detached garage with less than the required front and side setbacks. No one appeared against the applicant. No action was taken due to lack of quorum present. Charles Sicard arrived at the meeting at 8:00 P.M. There is now a quorum present. Variance #631 - Betty Jean Baxter and Michael Smith West Side Route 9 C-3 Zone Variance to place a free-standing sign with one (1) ft. front setback in lieu of the required fifteen (15) ft. front setback. This variance tabled for one month to August 15, 1979 meeting to allow for a variation in location of sign. Variance #630 - David S. Shave Mr. Sicard made a motion for approval stating that it is a reasonable use of property and is in concurrence with the Queensbury Planning Board. Mr. Turner seconded. '·;r ~ Variance #632 - William Bodnar Assembly Point - Bay Parkway R-l Zone Variance to place a garage with 19 ft. front setback and 4.87 ft. ~de setback in lieu of the required 30 ft. front setback and 5 ft. 'fte setback. :r. ''''--' Motion by Mr. Sicard to approve of the variance as it is in concurrence with both the Queensbury Planning Board and the Warren County Planning Board and that it is consistent with the character of the area. Seconded by Mrs. Richardson. Carried. 4-0. Variance #633 - Convenient Food Mart South side Quaker ~oad C-3 Zone Variance to place a free-standing sign *ith less than the ~e~uired setback. Earl Hoffman, manager and and H. Hoffman from Signs of Progress present. Motion made by Mr. Sicard to approve the variance with the conditions imposed by Queensbury and Warren County Planning Boards as follows: Sign must conform in 1986. Compliance with the stipulation in the Department of Public Works permit which requires removal when Quaker Road is widened. Seconded by Mr. Turner. Carried. 4-0. VARIANCE #627 - Glen Ford, Inc. C-3 Zone North side Quaker Road Variance to place non-conforming signs on property. Variance rescinded by motion of Mr. Turner. Seconded by Mr. Sicard. See new motion. Variance # 627 (new) - Glen Ford, Inc. C-3 Zone North Side Quaker Road The Board granted this variance with the following conditions: 1. Signs 3,4,5,9,10,11,12 be placed flush to building using existing signs. Signs 3,4,5 will conform to 4 sq. ft. and be flush mounted. Signs 9,10,11,12 will be flush mounted and be non-conforming in size. 2. Signs 2 and 8 acceptable. 3. Free-standing signs 1,7 and 6. Sign 7 cut down to 25 ft. total height. Free-standing signs allowed to June 20, 1982, at which time one will be allowed. -....... ~FERRAL FROM WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARD NOT RECEIVED IN DUE TIME.
