307.94 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PAYMENT FOR WATER TESTING IN CONNECTION WITH THE GLEN LAKE WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN RESOLUTION NO. 307, 94 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Betty Monahan WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Carol Pulver WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, in accordance with Town Board resolution no. 119, 94, supported the concept of watershed management and planning for the Glen Lake Watershed, and WHEREAS, interested citizens, the Director of Community Development and Councilperson Betty Monahan have recommended that the water in Glen Lake, as well as the surrounding tributaries and wetlands, be tested for the purposes of identifying nonpoint sources of pollution and assisting in the development of a watershed management plan and also further assisting in the development of a comprehensive land use plan for the entire Glen Lake Watershed area, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby notes that the testing of the water would, in fact, be supportive of the development of a comprehensive land use plan, as well as supportive of other purposes, such as public health and aquatic plant growth and control, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes payment up to the amount of $4,900.00 to cover the costs associated with the aforementioned testing, said costs to be paid for from the Community Research Miscellaneous Contractual Account, Account No. 01-8030-4400 , and hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute any and all documents associated therewith.
