THIS APPLICATION HAS BEEN CARRIED OVER FROM THE PREVIOUS MEETING IN ORDER TO OBTAIN MORE INFORMATION WITH REGARD TO SIGNS THAT ARE PRESENTLY ON FACE OF MALL. MR. MACALISTER PRESENTED PHOTOS OF EXTERIOR WALL SIGNS AND THERE WAS SOME DISCUSSION WHICH INCLUDED COMPARISON OF EXISTING SIGNS. THERE WAS SOME OBJECTION TO THE HAND CARVED LOGO SIGN AND IT WAS THEN SUGGESTED ARRANGEMENTS BE MADE TO PLACE LOGO INS IDE OF MALL. THE BOARD FELT THE LOGO SIGN WAS NOT CONSISTENT WITH THE OUTSIDE SIGN SCHEME. THE Tmm PlANNING BOARD APPROVED THIS APPLICATION AND THE WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARD DISAPPROVED. MOTION BY MR. SICARD, SECONDED BY MRS. GOETZ TO APPROVE LIGHTED 1'¡ALL SIGN AND DENY HANDCARVED WOODEN SIGN. MOTION CARRIED. RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED 22' 6" BY 3' 6" LIGHTED WALL SIGN, LETTERS WHITE ON BLACK. THE VARIANCE FOR THE LOGO SIGN DOES NOT FIT THE MALL DECOR. SMITH - TO OPERATE AN AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND TIRE SALES IN R-4 ZONE WITH 50 SQ.FT. FREE STANDING SIGN ON THE PROPERTY SITUATED AT THE NORTH SIDE OF CORINTH ROAD, EAST OF PINE- WOOD ROAD. MICHAEL J. 0' CONNOR ESQ. PRESENT. MR. 0' CONNOR PRESENTED MAPS SHOWING( DISTANCE FROM NEIGHBORING BUSINESSES. THE PROPOSED USE IS FOR AUTO REPAIRS AND TIRE SALES AND THERE WILL BE NO HEAVY DUTY AUTO REPAIRS. RESOLVED: THE BOARD GRANTED THIS VARIANCE AS IT DOES NOT CHANGE THE CHARACTER OF THE AREA OR NEIGHBORHOOD, SIGN 25 SQ. FT. DOUBLE FACED, HEIGHT 12 FT. OVERALL AT LEGAL SETBACK. VARIANCE NO. 724 - DORIS M. POWERS - TO CONSTRUCT A STORAGE BUILDING AS AN ACCESSORY USE ON A RESIDENTIAL LOT WITHOUT A PRINCIPAL USE IN R-l ZONE ON THE PROPERTY SITUATED AT ROUTE 9L AT KATTSKILL BAY. 1& AUGUST 19, 1981 PAGE THREE '- MR. VARIANCE NO. 725 - DANA BRAY ~RAY TERMINAL) - TO OPERATE ,A HORSE FARM IN R-4/R-3 ZONE ON THE PROPER SITUATED AT BAY ROAD AND COUNTRY CLUB ROAD. FRANK DESANTIS, ESQ. PRESENT. MR. DESANTIS PRESENTED PLANS FOR PROPOSED HORSE BARN AND PROPERTY IN QUESTION. THIS PROPERTY RUNS IN AN EAST- WEST DIRECTION. THE WESTERN PORTION IS ZONED R-3 - THE EASTERN PORTION IS ZONED R-4. THIS FARM WILL BE USED TO BREED THOROUGHBRED HORSES. THE FACILITY WILL BE OPEN YEAR ROUND AND IT IS EXPECTED THAT THERE WILL BE APPROXIMATELY TEN HORSES STABLED AT ONE TIME. MANURE IS TO BE PERIODICALLY REMOVED BY APPLICANT. MR. JOHN HUGHES, A NEIGHBOR WHO OWNS APARTMENTS TO THE SOUTH ON OLD COACH ROAD, QUESTIONED MR. RICHARDS (CONTRACTOR FOR PROPOSED BARN) AND MR. DESANTIS REGARDING MR. BRAY'S FUTURE PLANS FOR PROPERTY, SUCH AS ADDITIONAL HOUSING, HAY BARNS AND SHADE SHEDS. THE BOARD DETERMINED THIS ~lAS IRRELEVANT AT THIS TIME. "MR. HUGHES ALSO DISCUSSED WITH THE BOARD DRAINAGE PROBLEMS THAT MAY EXIST. MR. TURNER WAS ESPECIALLY CONCERNED AS TO THE NUMBER OF HORSES TO BE STABLED ON PREMISES. WARREN COUNTY PLANNING BOARD RECOMMENDED APPROVAL AND THE COUNTY CONCURRED. MOTION BY MRS. RICHARDSON, SECONDED BY MR. CORNWELL TO APPROVE. THE FOLLOWING VOTE WAS THEN TAKEN: MRS. GOETZ - YES MR. TURNER - NO MR. CORNWELL - YES MR. SICARD - YES MRS. RICHARDSON - YES MR.
