RESOLUTION REQUESTING UPGRADE OF STREET LIGHTS

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury currently maintains, through
Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation, street lights at the following
locations in the Town of Queensbury:

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous
of upgrading some existing mercury vapor street lights to high
pressure sodium bulbs, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board has been advised that by changing the
lights from the existing mercury vapor lights to the sodium lights,
the electricity cost would decrease for each one of the lights,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to request that Niagara

Mohawk upgrade the street lights listed in the preambles of this
resolution to the high pressure sodium bulbs, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor is hereby authorized and
directed to execute any and all documentation that may be necessary
to accomplish the purposes of this resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the cost of replacing the lights will be paid
for from the appropriate account.
