179.95 RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 623 OF 1994 CONCERNING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF TOWN COMPTROLLER RESOLUTION NO. 179. l995 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Betty Monahan WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by Resolution No. 623 of 1994, previously established the duties and responsibilities of the Town Comptroller, which duties would include manually signing all checks together with the Town Supervisor, and WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by Resolution, may authorize the Town Supervisor and Town Comptroller to sign checks with a facsimile signature as reproduced by a machine or device commonly known as a check signer, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes the Town Supervisor and Town Comptroller to sign checks with a facsimile signature of the Town Supervisor and Town Comptroller as reproduced by a machine or device commonly known as a check signer, provided that both officials are in agreement that such a device shall be used, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Town Comptroller will not have the duty or obligation to countersign checks with the Town Supervisor until such time as this Board shall adopt a further resolution directing such, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that Resolution No. 623 of 1994 is hereby amended accordingly.
