236.95 RESOLUTION REORGANIZING TAX RECEIVER'S OFFICER RESOLUTION NO. 236, 95 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano WHEREAS, there currently exists in the Town of Queensbury the positions of Tax Receiver and Part-Time Deputy Tax Receiver, and WHEREAS, the present Tax Receiver, Ms. Betty Eggleston is retiring and the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous of reorganizing the Tax Receiver's office, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby appoints Ms. Darleen Dougher, Town Clerk, as Tax Receiver with the position to be assumed in addition to Ms. Dougher's current duties as Town Clerk, with the term of office to be as set forth in the Town Law, and with the salary for the office of Tax Receiver to be reduced from the previously authorized amount to $5,000.00 per year, the same to be paid proportionately as earned, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Town Borad hereby also establishes the Deputy Tax Receiver position as full-time, effective May 1st, 1995 with the annual salary to be increased to $21,500.00,the same to be payable proportionately as earned and hereby further appoints Ms. Judy Fish to the full-time position, subject to and conditioned upon any requirements under Civil Service that Ms. Fish qualify upon taking any exams or other Civil Service requirements, in which event this appointment shall be provisional, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that nothing in this resolution shall be interpreted to indicate that the Town Board waives any right to claim that the position of Deputy Tax Receiver is an exempt position under Civil Service.
