RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INCREASED APPROPRIATIONS FOR
LANDFILL CLOSURE CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION
SECONDED BY: Mr. Nick Caimano
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury previously
authorized $2.2 million in appropriations for completion of the
landfill closure capital project, and
WHEREAS, the project originally included a 33 acre waste area,
and
WHEREAS, the actual area required to be closed was 36 acres,
and
WHEREAS, LaVerne B. Fagel, Environmental Consultant, was hired
by the Town of Queensbury to assist in the landfill closure
project, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fagel has estimated the cost to close the 36
acre waste area at $2.39 million, and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fagel recommends increasing appropriations for
completion of the project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes an increase of appropriations in the Landfill Closure
Capital Project from $2.2 million to $2.45 million to cover the
above-mentioned increase in costs.
Duly adopted this 10th day of July, 1995, by the following
vote:
