RESOLUTION REGARDING ADVERTISEMENT OF BIDS TO SELL VEHICLES

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by
Resolution No.: 489, 1995, authorizing the advertisement of bids
for certain vehicles and equipment no longer needed for Town
purposes, and
WHEREAS, although bids have been received in connection with
the advertisement, it has been brought to the Town Board's
attention that the advertisement and bidding documents contained an
error referencing that an award would be made to the "lowest"
bidder, when, in fact, it was the Town Board's intention to provide
for the sale of the equipment to the "highest" bidder,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that, due to the error in the bidding documents, the
Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby determines to reject
all bids and authorize the re-advertisement of said vehicles and
equipment, together with additional vehicles and/or equipment, as
authorized by separate resolution presented at this meeting, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Supervisor and Town Clerk are hereby
authorized to take all action that may be necessary to advise all
bidders of the rejection and authorization to re-advertise and to
return any funds that may have been received in connection with the
first bid.
