RESOLUTION ADOPTING SUBSTANCE-FREE WORKPLACE POLICY
AND SUBSTANCE TESTING POLICY

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury is desirous of adopting a Substance-
Free Workplace Policy and a Substance Testing Policy, in accordance with and in compliance with the
Omnibus Transportation Employee Test Act of 1991 and the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988, and
WHEREAS, a Substance-Free Workplace Policy and Substance Testing Policy has been
presented at this meeting, and
WHEREAS, the aforementioned policies have been the subject of negotiation with the Civil
Service Employees Association, Inc., Local 1000, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, for the Town of Queensbury
and said Collective Bargaining Unit has agreed to the Policy,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby adopts the Substance-
Free Workplace Policy and Substance Testing Policy presented at this meeting and hereby further
authorizes the Town Supervisor to take such steps as may be necessary to fully implement the policy
with authority to sign said documents as may be appropriate to implement said policy.
