140.96 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RETENTION OF HARTGEN ARCHAEOLOGICAL ASSOCIATES, INC. RESOLUTION NO.: 140, 96 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Connie Goedert WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Carol Pulver WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury has secured a municipal project grant under the Land and Water Conservation Fund and the Environmental Quality Bond Act of 1986, and WHEREAS, the grant was secured for the purposes of funding the development of a park adjacent to the Hudson River, off of Big Boom Road, in the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, the aforementioned park has been described in previous resolutions, and the Town Board is undertaking to review the project under SEQRA, and WHEREAS, the Town previously retained Hartgen Archaeological Associates, Inc. to conduct an initial archaeological survey, also known as a Stage IA Study, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has been advised of the need for a Stage IB Archaeological Field Reconnaissance and Hartgen Archaeological Associates, Inc., has offered to perform this investigation, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes the retention of Hartgen Archaeological Associates, Inc., for purposes of conducting site investigation and preparation of the Stage IB Archaeological Field Testing Report at a cost not to exceed $3,000. with payment to be made within thirty (30) days after the report and an invoice for the services are received, together with an appropriately completed Town voucher, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the expenditures authorized herein shall be paid for from the Miscellaneous Contractual Account No.: 001-7110- 4400.
