264.96 RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING HISTORIAN'S ADVISORY BOARD RESOLUTION NO. 264, 96 INTRODUCED BY: Mrs. Connie Goedert WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mrs. Carol Pulver WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury is desirous of establishing an Historian's Advisory Board to assist the Town Historian in addressing how the Town can better publicize and disseminate information about its heritage and history to the community, and WHEREAS, Advisory Boards are authorized to be established in accordance with §3-4 of the Code of the Town of Queensbury, and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby creates and appoints an Historian's Advisory Board, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Historian's Advisory Board shall consist of eleven (11) members appointed for initial terms expiring on January 1, 1998 with succeeding two (2) year terms on a biannual basis thereafter in accordance with §3-6(E)(1) of the Town Code, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Historian shall submit a list of suggested citizens from the Town of Queensbury for appointment to the newly created Board to the Town Board for their approval, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby makes particular note of the procedures that the Advisory Board must follow as set forth in §3-7 of the Code and the Town Historian shall provide each Advisory Board Member with a copy of Chapter 3 of the Code of the Town of Queensbury.
