ENFORCEMENT OFFICER POSITION

WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Department of Community
Development has the function of administering and enforcing the New
York State Building Codes, as well as various other local laws for
the purpose of protecting the health, safety and welfare of Town
residents, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury presently has established the
position of Assistant Building and Zoning Enforcement Officer, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury desires to
establish a new position of Building and Code Enforcement Officer
to more accurately reflect the existing administration and
enforcement practice relating to the aforementioned laws through
the provision of properly qualified staff,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury does
hereby establish the position entitled, "Building and Code
Enforcement Officer" for the purpose of providing effective
enforcement of the New York State Building Codes, and various other
local laws as directed by the Town Board.
Duly adopted this 5th day of August, 1996, by the following
vote:
AYES: Mrs. Pulver, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Goedert, Mr.
Champagne
