RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RELEASE OF VEHICLE FUND
MONEY TO CERTAIN FIRE COMPANIES AND EMERGENCY SQUADS

WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has retained
vehicle fund moneys on behalf of certain Town of Queensbury Fire
Companies and Emergency Squads for the years 1995 and 1996, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury desires to
return the moneys, with interest, to the respective Town Fire
Companies and Emergency Squads,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes the return of the 1995 and 1996 vehicle fund moneys in
the approximate sum of $350,000, plus interest, to the Town of
Queensbury Fire Companies and Emergency Squads, said refund amounts
to be calculated by the Town Comptroller, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
directs that the Fire Companies and Emergency Squads continue to
maintain said moneys in a separate account to be used only for
vehicle fund purposes pursuant to the terms of the 1997, 1998, and
1999 Fire Company Agreements with the Town and the 1997 and 1998
Emergency Squad Agreements with the Town.
Duly adopted this 16th day of December, 1996, by the following
vote:
AYES: Mr. Turner, Mrs. Goedert, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Champagne
