RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PURCHASE
OF TRUCK FOR TOWN WATER DEPARTMENT

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury has
previously adopted purchasing procedures and in accordance with
said procedures, a contract in an amount greater than the amount of
$5,000, up to New York State bidding limits, must be approved by
the Town Board before said contract is entered into, and
WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Water Superintendent has
proposed to purchase a truck for his department's use in the amount
of $20,961, and
WHEREAS, NYS Bidding is not required, since the vehicle to be
purchased is under State Contract,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
approves of the purchase of one 4x4 Pick-Up Truck, 3/4 Ton from
Basil Ford, Inc., in the amount of $20,961.
Duly adopted this 16th day of December, 1996, by the following
vote:
AYES: Mrs. Pulver, Mrs. Monahan, Mr. Turner, Mrs. Goedert, Mr.
Champagne
