RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INTERMUNICIPAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND THE COUNTY OF WARREN REGARDING
MUNICIPAL SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL

WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 121, 1997, the Warren County Board
of Supervisors authorized intermunicipal agreements between Warren
County and any interested Town therein for solid waste disposal and
the hauling of processible and non-processible solid waste to the
Adirondack Resource Recovery Facility, and
WHEREAS, Warren County has prepared an agreement between the
County and the Town of Queensbury for the acceptance from the Town
for disposal of processible and qualified non-processible municipal
solid waste, provided that the Town of Queensbury arrange for the
hauling of the solid waste, and
WHEREAS, Warren County has set the fees for the disposal at
fifty-five dollars ($55) per ton of municipal solid waste delivered
to the facility, and
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed agreement has been presented
to this meeting,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
approves of the proposed intermunicipal agreement between the Town
of Queensbury and Warren County relating to municipal solid waste
disposal and authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute
the agreement and any other documentation to effectuate the terms
of the agreement.
