RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT OF GREATER GLEN LAKE
WATERSHED MANAGEMENT PLAN

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury, by Resolution No. 119.94,
stated its support of the concept of watershed management and planning for the Glen Lake
Watershed and the development of a Comprehensive Watershed Management and
Implementation Plan, and
WHEREAS, the Glen Lake Technical Advisory Committee recently presented the
Town Board with a completed Greater Glen Lake Watershed Management Plan (the
“Plan”), and
WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury supports the Plan and
desires to adopt a resolution encouraging the Town Planning Board, Zoning Board of
Appeals and the Department of Community Development, when making decisions on
projects located within the Watershed, to use the guidelines set forth in the Plan as a tool
and guide to controlling point and nonpoint source pollution within the Watershed,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury states its support of
the Greater Glen Lake Watershed Management Plan and hereby encourages the Town
Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Department of Community Development,
when making decisions on projects located within the Watershed, to use the guidelines set
forth in the Plan as a tool and guide to controlling point and nonpoint source pollution within
the Watershed.
