RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING
ON PROPOSED LOCAL LAW NO.: ____ OF 1998
TO AMEND CHAPTER 96 OF THE QUEENSBURY TOWN CODE
ENTITLED, “GARBAGE, RUBBISH AND REFUSE”

WHEREAS, at this meeting there has been presented for adoption by the Town Board of the
Town of Queensbury, proposed Local Law No.: ___ of 1998 to amend Chapter 96 of the Code of the
Town of Queensbury entitled "Garbage, Rubbish and Refuse" to more clearly define regulations for
construction and demolition debris landfills located within the Town of Queensbury, and
WHEREAS, such legislation is authorized pursuant to the §10 of the New York State
Municipal Home Rule Law and Article 16 of the New York State Town Law, and
WHEREAS, prior to adoption of said Local Law, it is necessary to conduct a public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury shall meet and hold a public
hearing at the Queensbury Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury at 7:00 p.m. on September

21, 1998 to consider the proposed Local Law No.: __ of 1998, hear all interested persons and take
such action as is required or authorized by law, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby
authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk to publish and post the Notice of Public Hearing
presented at this meeting in the manner provided by law.
