RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED
LOCAL LAW NO.: ____ OF 1998
A LOCAL LAW TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 24 ENTITLED,
"COORDINATED ASSESSMENT PROGRAM"

WHEREAS, at this meeting there has been presented for adoption by the Town Board of the
Town of Queensbury, a draft Local Law No.: ___ of 1998 to amend the Code of the Town of
Queensbury by adding a new Chapter 24 entitled, "Coordinated Assessment Program," which Chapter
shall authorize participation by the Town of Queensbury in a coordinated real property assessment
program with the City of Glens Falls, and
WHEREAS, such legislation is authorized in accordance with §579 of the New York State
Real Property Tax Law, and
WHEREAS, prior to adoption of said Local Law, it is necessary to conduct a public hearing,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury shall meet
and hold a public hearing at the Activities Center, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury, Warren County, New

York at 7:00 p.m. on December 21, 1998, to consider proposed Local Law No.: ___ of 1998, hear
all interested persons, and take such action as is required or authorized by law, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED AND ORDERED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the
Queensbury Town Clerk to publish and post the Notice of Public Hearing presented at this meeting in
the manner provided by law and to forward copies of this Resolution and Notice of Public Hearing to
the Glens Falls City Clerkâs Office.
