RESOLUTION TO ENACT LOCAL LAW NO.: 9 OF 1998
A LOCAL LAW TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY BY ADDING A NEW CHAPTER 24 ENTITLED,
“COORDINATED ASSESSMENT PROGRAM”

WHEREAS, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury wishes to enact a Local Law to
amend the Code of the Town of Queensbury by adding a new Chapter 24 entitled, "Coordinated
Assessment Program" which Chapter shall authorize participation by the Town of Queensbury in a
coordinated real property assessment program with the City of Glens Falls, and
WHEREAS, such legislation is authorized pursuant to §579 of the New York State Real
Property Tax Law, and
WHEREAS, a copy of the proposed Local Law has been previously presented to the Town
Board, and

WHEREAS, on December 21, 1998, a public hearing regarding this Local Law was duly
conducted,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT

RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby enacts the proposed
Local Law to Amend the Code of the Town of Queensbury by adding a new Chapter 24 entitled,
"Coordinated Assessment Program," to be known as Local Law No.: 9 of 1998, the same to be titled
and contain such provisions as are set forth in a copy of the proposed Law presented at this meeting,
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk
to file the Local Law with the New York State Secretary of State in accordance with the provisions of
the Municipal Home Rule Law and acknowledges that the Local Law will take effect immediately
upon filing with the Secretary of State.
