064.99 RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE AGREEMENT BETWEEN TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND WEST GLENS FALLS EMERGENCY SQUAD, INC. RESOLUTION NO.: 64, 99 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Douglas Irish WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner § WHEREAS, in accordance with 184 of Town Law, the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury may contract with an ambulance service certified or registered in accordance with Article 30 of the Public Health Law for general emergency ambulance service within the Town of Queensbury, and WHEREAS, the Town and West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc., have negotiated proposed terms for a new Agreement for general emergency ambulance services for a proposed cost of $172,700, and WHEREAS, §184 of the Town Law and §209(b) of the General Municipal Law require that the Town conduct a public hearing prior to entering into agreements for emergency ambulance service, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to set a public hearing concerning the proposed 1999 Agreement between West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc. and the Town of Queensbury, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury shall conduct a public hearing concerning the proposed new Agreement between the Town of Queensbury and West Glens Falls st Emergency Squad, Inc. for emergency ambulance service for the Town of Queensbury on March 1, 1999 at 7:00 p.m., and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk to publish a Notice of Public Hearing in the Post-Star Newspaper once at least ten (10) days prior to the Public Hearing. th Duly adopted this 10 day of February, 1999, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Tucker, Mr. Merrill, Mr. Turner, Mr. Irish, Mr. Champagne NOES : None ABSENT: None
