225.99 RESOLUTION TO ENACT LOCAL LAW ON STORMWATER MANAGEMENT RESOLUTION NO. : 225, 1999 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Richard Merrill WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Theodore Turner WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 61,99, the Queensbury Town Board approved a Draft Stormwater Management Plan for Portions of the Lake George Watershed within the Town of Queensbury (the “Plan”) dated October, 1997 and directed the Executive Director of Community Development to forward the Plan to the Lake George Park Commission for final review and approval, and WHEREAS, the Lake George Park Commission, as lead agency for the Lake George Park Stormwater Management Program, also approved the Plan by Resolution, reviewed the Final Generic Environmental Impact Statement (FGEIS) and prepared a Statement of SEQRA Findings, a copy of which has been presented at this meeting, and WHEREAS, the Queensbury Stormwater Advisory Committee reviewed the Plan in its final form, reviewed the Lake George Park Commission Model Stormwater Management Ordinance and recommended that the Town Board adopt the Plan and related Local Law, and WHEREAS, before the Town Board may adopt the Plan and Local Law, the Town Board must conduct a public hearing, and WHEREAS, after proper public notice, the Town Board conducted public hearings on the stthth proposed Stormwater Management Local Law on June 21, June 24, and July 19, 1999, and WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to enact the Local Law, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby affirms and adopts the SEQRA Findings Statement previously approved by the Lake George Park Commission, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby enacts the Stormwater Management Local Law presented at this meeting, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board of the Town of Queensbury hereby authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk to enter the Local Law in the minutes of this Town Board meeting and file it in the Office of the New York Secretary of State and the Local Law shall take effect upon such filing. th Duly adopted this 19 day of July, 1999, by the following vote: AYES : Mr. Turner, Mr. Irish, Mr. Tucker, Mr. Merrill, Mr. Champagne NOES : None ABSENT: None 2
