RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPOINTMENT OF RON NOLIN AS
INSTRUMENT TECHNICIAN AT WATER DEPARTMENT
RESOLUTION NO. 298, 2020

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Water Superintendent has advised the Town Board that
there is a vacant full-time Instrument Technician position in the Water Department, and
WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent reviewed resumes, interviewed interested candidates
and has recommended that the Town Board authorize the hiring of Ron Nolin in such position, and
WHEREAS, the Water Superintendent has advised that Mr. Nolin has placed successfully on
the Civil Service Exam for such position and therefore the Town Board wishes to authorize Mr.
Nolin’s hiring,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
Ron Nolin as a full-time Instrument Technician in the Town’s Water Department effective on or about

September 15, 2020 subject to the Town successfully completing pre-employment physical and
background checks as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired, and
drug and/or alcohol screening, and subject to Mr. Nolin’s successful completion of a twenty-six (26)
week probationary period, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that Mr. Nolin shall be paid the hourly rate of pay for the Instrument Technician
position as delineated in the Town’s current Agreement with the Civil Service Employees Association,
and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Water
Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to complete any documentation and take such other and further
action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
