Dear George:
At your request, we have reviewed your proposed replacement septic system design of the
existing 1-bedroom cottage at 19 'A Garner Street in Queensbury. As per our conversation the
residence has an existing failed septic system.
We have reviewed the proposed replacement septic system design and we agree that a standard
Eljen In Drain Trench is acceptable. Based upon a design flow rate of 110 GPD and a percolation
rate of 1 to 5 minutes, you will need a minimum of 5 Eljen In Drain units in a single trench
configuration. The absorption trench system can be constructed with a 4 ft wide by 21 ft long
trench with 5 Eljen Units and concrete sand, new 1,000-gallon septic tank and new distribution
box.
