AS PART-TIME COURT OFFICER

WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, the part-time Court Officer in the Town of Queensbury's Justice Court recently
retired and so the position is currently vacant, and
WHEREAS, the Town Justices conducted interviews for the vacant position and have
recommended that the Town Board hire Donald Ross, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board concurs with such hiring recommendation, and
WHEREAS, Town Policy requires that familial relationships must be disclosed and the
Town Board must approve the appointment of Town employees' relatives, and Donald Ross is the
brother-in-law of Town Assessor Teri Ross,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
Donald Ross as a part-time Court Officer effective on or about February 10r'', 2009 at the rate of
$14.42 per hour as set forth in Town Board Resolution No.: 615,2008, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes payment in the amount of $24.88 per
service to NIr. Ross for service of any paper required by Town Court or any Town of Queensbury
Department, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Justices and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any necessary forms and take any actions necessary
to effectuate this Resolution.
