077.2009RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT BETWEEN TOWN OF QUEENSBURY AND NYSEG SOLUTIONS, INC. REGARDING LOCK-IN RATE FOR SUPPLY OF ELECTRICITY RESOLUTION NO. 77, 2009 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Ronald Montesi WHO MOVED FOR ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. Tim Brewer WHEREAS, by Resolution No.: 475,2001, the Queensbury Town Board authorized an Agreement between the Town and NYSEG Solutions, Inc., (NYSEG) regarding the supply of electricity, and WHEREAS, NYSEG has offered the Town a "lock-in rate" for a one or two year term for the purchase of electricity which could result in financial savings for the Town, and WHEREAS, the Town Board has received a recommendation from an independent consultant to enter into such lock-in rate with NYSEG as the consultant feels that the Town could realize such cost savings, and WHEREAS, the Town Board concurs with such recommendation and wishes to lock-in its electricity rates for a one year period, and WHEREAS, a proposed Agreement regarding such lock-in rate between the Town and NYSEG has been presented at this meeting NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves and authorizes the Agreement between the Town and NYSEG Solutions, Inc., regarding the lock-in rate for a one year term for the supply of electricity substantially in the form presented at this meeting and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor to execute the Agreement with NYSEG and authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor and/or Town Budget Officer to take such other and further action necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
