Meeting of the Planning Board of the, To~n of Queensbury

Glens Falls Savings & Loan Building

Present;
Glass, Norton, Kirkpatrick, Dean, RobertsQn, Simmonds,.
J. Arthur Norton presented a number of maps designed for
various purposes. such as "Population Areas" r. "Highways",
"Individual Property" etc. These were ,reviewed to determine
if indi~idually or severally they would serve the purpose
of the Planning Board in providing basic information leading
to an accurate land use inventoryo

It was decided to review additional maps that may be available,
such as those used by the Utilities etc. Messrs Robertson and
Dean will explo.re the possibility of se:curing such maps. The
need of an adequate map for planning purpos:es.' is extremely
important. It ia anticipated that the best method of rea<::hing
this objective can be brought to a conclusion at the next
meeting.
PLANNING BOOKS The s:ecretary was requested to contact lvfr John
Webster re availability of books suggested by Mr Slocumo It
is the understanding of the Board that Mr Webster planned
to order t~o or three copies each of "Mapping for Planning"
and "Mr Planning Co.mmi ssi oner II .
