The test was performed to the north of the residence, approximately 30-ft north of the failed drywell, in the location where a new absorption bed is proposed. It is proposed to reuse the existing 1000-gallon septic tank, install a new PVC tee-baffle if necessary and to install a new 15' x 45' pipe-in-stone absorption bed. The failed drywell will be abandoned in-place. The results of the soil testing are as follows: gvE Deep Soil TestECEn0 NOV p g 12O /020 0- 8" Topsoil 8— 34" Brown Gravel w/large cobbles TOWNOF c QUEEESBURY 34— 50" Light Brown Fine & Medium Sand &QGES No boundary condition was encountered Percolation Test 1 Stabilization percolation rate - 9 minutes, 30 seconds per inch Percolation Test 2 Stabilization percolation rate - 5 minutes per inch The design flow for this 4-bedroom residence at 110 gpd per bedroom requires 629 SF of absorption area (0.7 GPD/SF application rate for 8-10 minute percolation rate). With the proposed 15' x 45' absorption bed, 675 SF of bed area will be provided. It is my understanding that the installer plans on beginning work later this week. Enclosed please find a wastewater replacement application. Please contact me if you have any questions, otherwise please contact Ruben Ellsworth when the permit is available.
