Heavy equipment, including bulldozers, backhoes, payloaders, etc. , shall not be driven in the water. 20. Any debris or excess materials from construction of this project shall be immediately and completely removed from the bed and banks of all water areas to an appropriate upland area for disposal . 21. All necessary precautions shall be taken to prevent the entrance of fresh concrete into the waters of New York State. Only water-tight or waterproof forms shall be used and wet concrete shall not be poured to displace water within the forms. Equipment, tools, and trucks used in this project shall be cleaned in such a manner as to prevent wash water from entering any stream or lake. Wet concrete is highly toxic to fish. 22. Stone used for filling must be clean and shall not be less than six (6) inches in diameter. Completed cribs shall be of the "open-sided" type construction and provide for at least 40% unboarded water contact area to the rock fill . 23. A DEC permit sign is to be conspicuously posted at the work site, protected from the weather, for the duration of the project. 24. The permittee shall require that any contractor, project engineer, or other person responsible for the overall . supervision of this project reads, understands, and complies with this permit, including all special conditions to prevent environmental degradation. 25. The Fire Control Office noted on the letter attached to this permit shall be contacted at least 48 hours prior to commencement of activities authorized by this permit. Notification must be made on weekdays (excluding holidays) between 8: 30 a.m. and 4: 30 p.m 26. No change in dimensions, shape, size, surface area, location or orientation of the wharf is authorized by this permit. Repairs must conform to the specifications of the permit originally issued for the dock's construction or, if no permit was issued, to the specifications of the wharf registration filed with the Lake George Park Commission pursuant to 6NYCRR 646.
