RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR WHEELED PAVER
FOR TOWN HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, in accordance with Resolution No.: 124,2009, the Town of Queensbury’s
Purchasing Agent duly advertised for bids for the purchase of a wheeled paver as more clearly specified
in bid specifications prepared by the Highway Superintendent and/or Purchasing Agent, and
WHEREAS, the Town will be trading in a 1999 Wheeled Paver and using such proceeds
($10,000) towards the purchase price, and
WHEREAS, moneys for such proposed purchase are included in the 2009 Town Budget,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Agent and Highway Superintendent have reviewed the submitted
proposals and recommended that the Town Board award the bid to Southworth-Milton, Inc., the lowest
responsible bidder, and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby awards the bid for the purchase of a
wheeled paver for the Town’s Highway Department from Southworth-Milton, Inc., for an amount not to
exceed $263,216 ($273,216 purchase price minus the $10,000 in proceeds from the trade-in of the
Town’s 1999 Wheeled Paver) to be paid for fromAccount No.: 004-5130-2040, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Purchasing Agent, Highway Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to take any and all actions necessary
to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
