1. Keller - presented request from Tom Murphy Auto Salesu
Route 9 to add a4' x 4' plastic double faced sign on
an existing pole which has 2 smaller signs at present.
Discussed and action will be taken later.
2. Discussed prolifeeation of small signs on a single pole.
3. Keller presented request from Northern Distributingu
Corinth Roed, to locate 2 neon lighted signs 5' x 4'
within 25ft-of property litle. Discussed and will take
action later.

Kushner read a letter from the Beautification Conmittee
thanking him for attending their meeting.
Austin made a motion to disapprove the reqq~t for
variance of sign by Tom Murphy Auto Sales ,.. we find
no basis for approving this as it would add anC\ther
sign to an existing non-conforming sign and post, se-
conded by Sinnottg carried.
Austin made a motion to disapprove the request for a var-
iance of sign by Northern Distributing Co." as we find
no reason why conforming signs cannot be located on this

qrdi~~hc~ ~hould be enforceq to keep the number of signs
in the town down and felt that owners should be encour-
aged to use one properly designed sign rather than many
smaller signs.
