008.2021 Authorizing Officials to Attend NYS Association of Towns 2021 Annual Meeting etc. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MUNICIPAL OFFICIALS TO ATTEND NEW YORK STATE ASSOCIATION OF TOWNS 2021 ANNUAL MEETING & TRAINING SCHOOL – AN ALL-VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL AND NETWORKING EVENT - AND ASSIGNING TOWN SUPERVISOR AS DELEGATE RESOLUTION NO.: 8, 2021 INTRODUCED BY: Mr. Timothy McNulty WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION SECONDED BY: Mr. George Ferone WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Board wishes to authorize certain municipal officials to attend the New York State Association of Towns 2021 Annual Meeting & Training School, an all- virtual educational and networking event, to be held on February 14-17, 2021 and assign the Town Supervisor as Delegate and his designee as alternate to attend and vote at the Association of Towns Annual Business Meeting, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, in accordance with New York State Town Law §116, Subdivision 10 and subject to availability of budgetary appropriations, the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the following Town Officers and employees to attend the New York State Association of Towns 2021 Annual Meeting & Training School, all-virtual educational and networking event: Town Supervisor Town Board Members Town Highway Superintendent or Deputy Highway Superintendent Town Clerk Town Budget Officer Town Court Clerks Town Supervisor’s Executive Assistant Town’s Director of Building and Codes Enforcement and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, John F. Strough, III, as Delegate to cast the vote of the Town of Queensbury at the Association’s Annual Business Meeting and in his absence, authorizes and directs the Supervisor’s Designee, Town Councilperson George Ferone, to cast the Town’s vote, and BE IT FURTHER, RESOLVED, that all necessary and reasonable expenses related to the New York State Association of Towns 2021 Annual Meeting & Training School shall be deemed proper Town charges. st Duly adopted this 1 day of January, 2021, by the following vote: AYES: Mr. Freer, Mr. Ferone, Mr. McNulty, Mr. Strough NOES: None ABSENT: Mr. Metivier
