Dear Chairman Hunsinger and Planning Board Members:
At the advice of the Zoning Administrator, we are requesting a waiver from a lighting
plan and a landscaping plan for the referenced project. The only lighting proposed for
the project will be mini-wallpak low-glare building mounted low wattage fixtures, to be
mounted at entry doors.
As for the landscaping plan, the site is primarily covered in well established and
maintained turf with several mature trees located within 50' of the shore of Lake
George. None of these trees within 50' of the shore will be affected by the project. Two
trees which are over 1 00' from the shore and are near the southerly property line will be
removed during driveway construction. Turf and some shrubbery will be the primary
vegetation affected by the project. It is the applicant's desire to re-establish turf around
the finished house garage and driveway once the final grading is completed; therefore a
landscaping plan was not completed.
Please consider these requests for waivers and proceed with your review of our
application. We look forward to discussing this project with the board at one of the
March meetings.
