RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FIRST SHIFT CLEANER POSITION IN
BUILDING AND GROUNDS DEPARTMENT AND AUTHORIZING
TRANSFER OF ROBERT GOODSON

WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Town of Queensbury’s Facilities Manager, the
Town Board wishes to establish an additional full-time First Shift Cleaner position in the Building and
Grounds Department in accordance with a “New Position Duties Statement” previously adopted by the
Warren County Department of Personnel and Civil Service and presented at this meeting, and
WHEREAS, this hourly position is included in the Town’s CSEA Bargaining Unit at the
hourly rate of pay delineated in the Town’s current Agreement with the CSEA, and
WHEREAS, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town and
CSEA, the Facilities Manager posted the vacant position within the Town, and
WHEREAS, Robert Goodson has applied for a transfer from his current second-shift Cleaner
position in the Building and Grounds Department to the First Shift Cleaner position and Mr. Goodson
meets the requirements for the position and is the most qualified applicant from the Town who desired
a transfer, and as such, the Facilities Manager has requested Town Board authorization to transfer Mr.
Goodson accordingly,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby establishes the hourly, full-time
additional First Shift Cleaner position in the Building and Grounds Department in accordance with the
First Shift Cleaner “New Position Duties Statement” previously adopted by the Warren County
Department of Personnel and Civil Service and presented at this meeting, and such position is included
in the Town’s CSEA Bargaining Unit, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes the transfer of Robert Goodson from his
current second-shift Cleaner position in the Building and Grounds Department to the newly-established

First Shift Cleaner position effective on or about March 9, 2021 subject to a ninety (90) day
probationary period and any applicable Civil Service requirements, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that Mr. Goodson shall be paid at the rate of pay specified for the Cleaner
position delineated in the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Town and CSEA which is
currently $20.22 hourly for 2021, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Facilities Manager and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary
to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
