When filling out the ResCheck for an ‘Alteration’ResCheck automatically grants “exceptions”if the cavities are filled with insulation.The program granted these exemptions for the following: -“Ceiling 2”—the cathedral portion of the ceiling even though we are filling it with 8- in R25 FG insulation (see Typ.Const), “Wall 1”—the walls of the house even though the walls will be filled with R-21 FG insulation,and -“Crawl I”—the crawl space we got an exemption because we did not expose a framing cavity —yet we are adding a 48”R-10 blanket to the crawl space walls as shown on the Typ.Const.
