Dear Rich:
I am writing this letter in response to your June 17, 2002 letter addressed to me.
You have stated that you are concerned about your June 27 site plan review for your
planned Medical Arts Building on Bay Road. I understand that you are in the process of
completing a Map, Plan & Report for a proposed Quaker Road Sanitary Sewer District
Extension, which would include several properties along Bay Road. You have concerns
that the district extension process may take longer than the time frame you have for
constructing the proposed Medical Arts Building and question the possibility of a
temporary contract use.
Out of district contract users is a method the Town has used before to provide sewer
service in special cases. It is done by a contract, which is authorized by Town Board
Resolution. These contracts are for only one user.
It is unclear at this time what your district extension will include and if the Town will
contribute funds to upgrade the infrastructure for future users. These factors may
effect a Town Board's decision on a"contract use"in your case.
