However, they did mention that this,space should not be considered an attic since the high density of truss work makes the area impossible for (normal) human entry or storage, They consider this space a "crawl space". If this is true, then can we apply the 18" x 24" access requirement for crawl spaces? We are also exploring the possibility of making the access port through the flat side facing Quaker Rd. The loading conditions are such that the loads imparted on this bracket from roof live and dead loads are relatively low. The steel bracket as fabricated is of adequate strength to withstand the imparted loads. Regarding bracket attachment to the block wall, a minimum of four 3/6' diameter sleeve anchors should be installed horizontally into.the block wall. Anchors should be Hilti HX series sleeve anchors or equivalent, installed in strict accordance with manufacturers instructions for hollow block walls.
