Gentlemen,
Based on our conversations this afternoon, I am proposing the following language regarding this application:
1) The Fire Marshal's office will conduct an initial inspection when the tent is erected.At that point, we will
determine the maximum occupant load,fire retardant labeling and certificate from the tent owner,
verify location and number of exits, posting of no smoking signs and location of fire extinguisher(s).
2) Once this has been approved, the owner may develop an internal floor plan that does not exceed the
maximum allowable occupant load, does not impede the required exiting locations, and maintains a
minimum 36"wide aisles throughout.
3) The following items will not be included in the approval and may not be used or installed under this
approval:
A) Combustible materials per NYSFC 2404.5
B) Open or exposed flames per NYSFC 2404.7
C) Fireworks per NYSFC 2404.8
D) Heating and cooking equipment per NYSFC 2404.15
E) LP gas per NYSFC 2404.16
F) Portable generators per NYSFC 2404.19
G) Flammable or combustible liquids per NYSFC 2404.17
H) Display of motor vehicles per NYSFC 2404.18
