RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INSTALLATION OF
CROSSWALK ON PARKVIEW AVENUE
RESOLUTION NO.: 283, 2021

WHO MOVED ITS ADOPTION

WHEREAS, Vehicle and Traffic Law §1660(a)(14) allows Town Boards to regulate the
crossing of Town roadways by pedestrians, and
WHEREAS, The Town Board believes there is a need for a crosswalk on Park View
Avenue just north of Dixon Avenue to provide safe passage for kids walking to and from
Kensington Elementary School,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes the installation of a
crosswalk crossing Park View Avenue just north of Dixon Avenue for the reasons stated above, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to make
the necessary budget adjustments to effectuate this Resolution, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Town Highway Superintendent, Town Budget Officer and Town Counsel to take any and all actions
necessary to effectuate all terms of this Resolution.
