The meeting opened at 7:30 P. M. with a Site Plan Review #10-84
for construction of a one family dwelling, on lot purchased by Mark
and Gwen Brilling, in a UR-5 Zone. A question was asked about access
to the house from the road regarding a drop-off. Mark Brilling informed
the Board that there was no problem as the, grade at certain points of
road frontage were level to that of his property. A motion was made by
K. Sorlin for approval, seconded by V. Macri, Jr. All were in favor.
Warren County concurred.
The bulk of the meeting was more workshop oriented with Charles Scudder
commanding much of the discussion. Topics that were touched on included
subdivision approval without much concern for engineering, storm water
drainage, changing topography, erosion. It was the general consensus of
all present that stiffer requirements with more engineering information
was needed.
Other topics touched on concerning the subdivisions involved performance
bonding of the developer through a bonding company, donation of common
green from the developer to the community, time scheduled and the pros
and cons of drywells and tile fields.
After a short discussion about zoning and building on and around Lake
George the workshop ended.
