APA Letter EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT ADIRONDACK PARK AGENCY P.O. Box 99, Route 86 . RAY BROOK, NEW YORK 12977 (518) 891-4050 FAX: (518) 891-3938 June 9, 1997 VABl C1 USE VARIANCE no. Os106 Mr. John Goralski, Director Department of Community Development Town of Queensbury 742 Bay Road Queensbury, NY 12804 Dear John: On June 9, 1997, we received the following: Area variance applications for Malman, Middleton and Gomes. Malman: The approval of this variance does not involve shoreline, density, nor apparently any other criteria of Agency approval of the Queensbury local program, so it does not involve us. Middleton: This variance involves using the footprint of an existing building. Since we would not treat this as a variance, the approval of this application would also not be subject to Agency review. Gomes: Approval of a variance to allow a larger than- allowed garage is also not subject to our review. We also received the zoning board agendas for June 18 and June 25, and the planning board agendas for June 17 and June 24. Most of these projects are outside of the Adirondack Park, or are addressed above, with the exception being Salvador, as you probably realize. An approval of a shoreline variance outside of Hamlet is subject to our review. Please let me know if you have any questions. Sincerely, Jamed W. Hotaling, Chief Local Government Services JWH:nmh: jhz
