RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROMOTION OF RONALD DUFOUR
FROM MOTOR EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (MEO) TO HEAVY
EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (HEO) IN HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury’s Highway Superintendent has advised that there is
currently a vacancy in a Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) position in the Town Highway
Department, and
WHEREAS, consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the Highway
Superintendent posted for such position, and
WHEREAS, Ronald Dufour, a current Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) within the
Department, has requested a promotion to the position, and
WHEREAS, the Highway Superintendent recommends that the Town Board authorize the
promotion of Ronald Dufour from MEO to HEO as Mr. Dufour has met the qualifications and has the
required job experience for the position, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize the requested promotion,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the promotion
of Ronald Dufour from Motor Equipment Operator (MEO) to Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO) in

the Town Highway Department effective on or about September 14, 2021 at the rate of pay specified
in the Town’s CSEA Union Agreement for the HEO position, subject to a ninety (90) day probationary
period and any other applicable Civil Service requirements, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Highway Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to complete any forms and take any action necessary
to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
