RESOLUTION SETTING PUBLIC HEARING ON TOWN OF
QUEENSBURY PARKS AND RECREATION’S REQUEST FOR
DESIGNATION AS SPORTS CENTER IN ACCORDANCE WITH TOWN
CODE CHAPTER 160 ENTITLED, “TRANSIENT MERCHANTS,
TRANSIENT MERCHANT MARKETS, PEDDLERS/SOLICITORS”

WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury Parks and Recreation Commission has submitted a
request to the Queensbury Town Board for designation as a Sports Center in accordance with §160-
6.1(A) of Queensbury Town Code Chapter 160 entitled, “Transient Merchants, Transient Merchant
Markets, Peddlers/Solicitors,” and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Town Code Chapter 160, the Town Board wishes to schedule
a public hearing to consider such request,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board shall hold a public hearing and hear all

interested persons on Monday, September 12, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Queensbury Activities Center,
742 Bay Road, Queensbury to consider the Town of Queensbury Parks and Recreation
Commission’s request for designation as a Sports Center substantially in the form presented at
this meeting and in accordance with Queensbury Town Code Chapter 160, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Queensbury Town Clerk
to publish a Notice of Public Hearing in the official newspaper of the Town a minimum of ten (10) days
prior to the time of the hearing..
