WHEREAS, the Town of Queensbury's Highway Superintendent has advised the Town Board
that he wishes to purchase a Salsco Model #818 Chipper for use by the Town Highway Department,
and
WHEREAS,New York State Bidding is not required as the purchase is under New York State
Contract No.: PC63067, and
WHEREAS, the Town Board wishes to authorize such purchase contingent upon verification
of sufficient funds available in the 2011 Town Budget prior to such purchase,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby approves of the Highway
Superintendent's purchase of a Salsco Model#818 Chipper from Salsco, Inc., in accordance with New
York State Contract # PC63067 for an amount not to exceed $40,804, to be paid for from Tools &
Equipment Account No.: 004-5130-2060, contingent upon verification of sufficient funds available in
the 2011 Town Budget prior to such purchase, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board authorizes and directs the Town Budget Officer to transfer
$40,804 from Health Insurance Premiums Account No.: 004-9060-8060 to Tools & Equipment
Account No.: 004-5130-2060, amend the 2011 Town Budget accordingly, and take any other
actions necessary to effectuate the purchase, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor,
Highway Superintendent and/or Budget Officer to take such other and further action as may be
necessary to effectuate the terms of this Resolution.
