Initially, they considered replacing or adding to the existing house which is closer to the lake but decided that adding a new accessory structure upslope of this building would keep the existing lakefront condition intact. This solution shall supplement the existing building in a more suitable site that, among other things, eliminates the need to negotiate the entire length of the steep existing driveway in winter conditions. The proposed bunkhouse is 1,200 SF in area, including a 200 SF covered screened porch. The bunkhouse will have a crawlspace and shall be constructed on a currently impervious parking area associated with the driveway. The bunkhouse has been located and designed in a way that respects setback and maximum height requirements. The owners will also install a new wastewater system and create a stormwater management system. The applicant is requesting one variance: • Accessory Structure: The applicant is requesting to build a 1,200 SF accessory structure, 200 SF of which is screened porch, where 500 SF is allowed. The applicant respectfully requests that the Zoning Board of Appeals consider relaxing this requirement to enable the owners to use their property throughout the year.
