RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING HIRING OF TERRI JEFFORDS
AS PART-TIME COURT OFFICER
RESOLUTION NO.: 414, 2021

WHEREAS, the Queensbury Town Justices have advised that they wish to hire an additional
part-time Town Court Officer on an “as needed” basis at the Town of Queensbury’s Justice Court, and
WHEREAS, the Town Justices have recommended that the Town Board hire Terri Jeffords
and the Town Board concurs with such recommendation, and
WHEREAS, Town Policy requires that familial relationships must be disclosed and the
Town Board must approve the appointment of Town employees’ relatives, and Ms. Jeffords is the
sister of Cemetery Superintendent Connie Goedert,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that the Queensbury Town Board hereby authorizes and directs the hiring of
Terri Jeffords as a part-time Court Officer on an “as needed” basis at the hourly rate of pay for the
position of $23.57 as set forth in Resolution No.: 33.2021, subject to Ms. Jeffords passing a pre-
employment physical as required by Town Policy and the Town successfully completing
background checks as reasonably necessary to judge fitness for the duties for which hired and/or
drug and/or alcohol screenings, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes payment in the amount of $28.99 per
service fee to Ms. Jeffords for service of any paper required by Town Court or any Town of
Queensbury Department as also set forth in Resolution No.: 33.2021, and
BE IT FURTHER,
RESOLVED, that the Town Board further authorizes and directs the Town Supervisor, Town
Justices, Court Clerks and/or Town Budget Officer to complete any necessary forms and take any
actions necessary to effectuate this Resolution.
